Village Museum in Bucharest
The museum is open-air. The museum displays various houses from different periods brought from all the historical regions of Romania. The houses are very authentic with all the original equipment and contents, a true reflection of life in the villages of Romania throughout the different periods.
The houses are scattered along Lake Herăstrău and next to each house there is an explanation in English.
In addition to the houses, the museum also displays churches, windmills, peasant houses, oil presses and more, exposure to the traditional life of the past, old traditional architecture at its best.
There is a gift and souvenir shop that sells authentic things, and interesting and special cakes are also sold there.
